Welcome to the October 2024 edition of our LiveAgent update blog! This month, we’re excited to introduce some major improvements, from a sleek new tickets view to enhanced WhatsApp integration. Let’s dive into what’s new!
AWS Migration Saga: German data center on the way
As part of our ongoing transition from Linode data centers to AWS, we’re moving our German data center to AWS soon. Customers impacted by this migration should expect email notifications if they haven’t received them already. We’re pleased to confirm that no downtime is expected during the migration.
A new Tickets view has been born
Let’s start with the big one: the long-awaited Responsive Tickets View. This new view brings all essential ticket information into a user-friendly format, eliminating the need to manually adjust columns and making it adaptable to any screen size, including mobile devices.
Starting from version 5.51, this new view will be gradually deployed to accounts. Existing agents will still have access to the old view for now, with an option to switch to the new one in their profile settings. For new agents, the responsive view will be the default, but they can temporarily switch back if needed.
We’d love for our users to give it a try and share any feedback to help us refine it further.
Possibility to set SSO as the only login option
For those prioritizing secure access, we’ve added a new improvement allowing Single Sign-On (SSO) to be set as the sole login method. This option removes the need for username and password login, providing a streamlined and secure authentication experience.
Enhanced WhatsApp integration for new WA templates
We’ve made significant upgrades to our WhatsApp integration. Starting with version 5.51, LiveAgent now supports WhatsApp’s expanded media-type templates, in addition to plain text templates.
Even better, you no longer need to copy-paste your WhatsApp templates from your WhatsApp numbers provider’s panel to LiveAgent. Templates are now automatically synchronized, so any updates or language translations made in your WhatsApp provider’s interface will reflect in LiveAgent.
Fix for chat attachment access
We’re happy to announce the fix of a long-standing bug that occasionally prevented visitors with blocked cookies from viewing attachments sent by agents in chat. The issue has been fully resolved, so attachments are now accessible to all visitors, ensuring smoother communication and accessibility.
Outro
That’s a wrap for our October 2024 updates. In next month’s blog, we look forward to sharing details on our upcoming AI chatbot feature and its potential integration with FlowHunt, our new product.
Stay tuned for more exciting news, and as always, thank you for being part of LiveAgent’s journey!
